These filters feature a double filtration system comprising a cotton layer and activated carbon, effectively removing hair, heavy metals, and impurities, while keeping the water fresh and improving its taste. To prevent the activated carbon dust from shedding into the water, it is recommended to soak the filters in water for 2 minutes and then rinse them thoroughly under running water before use.

The replacement frequency for these filters varies depending on the season. In summer, they should be replaced every 1 to 2 weeks, while in winter, the replacement interval can be extended to 2 to 4 weeks. If multiple cats are using the fountain, more frequent replacement may be necessary.
